Preparation: WDP 2010 - Cameroon
Let Everything That Has Breath Praise God
This year's theme, "Let Everything That Has Breath Praise God," takes its cue from Psalm 150 and begins the way the Psalm does, “Praise God.” Through this invocation, God is called up as “…our refuge and strength, ever ready to help, strengthen, guide and enlighten us in times of joy and sadness.”
Wherever we find ourselves in life, we also find God’s unconditional love. Blessed with great cultural wealth, this perspective of God's unconditional love is at the very core of the Cameroonian capacity to praise God.
On March 5, 2010 we will join with people all over the earth and with all of creation. Together we will fulfill the call of Psalm 150: Let everything that has breath praise God. We anticipate yet another wonderful service which the World Day of Prayer Committee in Cameroon has prepared for us. Let's turn our prayers into action!
"Let us enter into the theme of praise right away with an opening procession that is filled with vibrant music and movement!"

Are You Ready to Kanga?
WDP 2010 Cameroon: Worship Service Resources
Kangas are a traditional garment worn by women and occasionally men in Africa. It is a rectangular piece of printed cloth usually 1.5 meters long. Kangas are usually brightly colored with beautiful designs and/or slogans. Women’s groups and most church women’s organizations in Africa often wear kanga cloth printed for a celebration or service. Kangas can be wrapped around the waist as a "wrapper skirt" as women do in Africa or Kangas can be used as a table cloth or worn as a shawl.
Kangas are also used as a way of communicating a message. Very often the border of the Kanga will contain a message. Usually the message can be a bible verse or a folk saying. For more information on Kangas, take a look at the History of the Kanga.
"Essential for your preparation is the Leaders/Planners Guide. It contains vital information needed to prepare your Worship Service. For successful planning order enough for your entire planning committee."
